Another flag, this time inflated in front of a MacDonalds at a gas stop on the Mass Pike. We stopped here on the way to NYC for a family weekend with Andrea, John, and grandchildren.

One of my favorite late Spring totems is the blooming of the locust trees. This is accompanied by a very delicate fragrance in the air (in contrast to the earlier and more brazen smell of lilac). Then within three or four days the flowers pass and fall to the ground looking very much like snow. Summer is here, for sure.
