Great start to the morning.
Cleaned up office. Paid bills. Added citations from Sachs book Building the New American Economy: Smart, Fair, and Sustainable. Getting ready to write a review.
A Boy’s Book of Model Railroading
At lunch looked over a book Karen bought at Sunday’s Toy and Train Expo. Lots of good stuff. Turns out puff pieces were not invented so recently . The book is dedicated to the founder of Lionel Trains and is filled with references and examples from the Lionel Train Co.’s products.
A Missing Term
From my summer working on the Soo Line track gang I remember a term that is missing from this list – frog. A frog is a neat little junction where tracks converge at a turn out or switch.
Walk to Library
Karen and I went to the library to see about museum passes. Chat with librarian Paul Tombrello and volunteer Laurie Sussman (know her from last fall’s Baldwin workshop). Karen noticed new design handicap access symbol. Literally more forward looking. Noticed older versions on the way home.
Talked with Jeffrey Cadan at 4pm.
