Visit with Andrea, Noah & Nyla

Drove to Sagaponack in the Hamptons on the south fork of the eastern tip of Long Island. 4 hour drive (199 miles). Andrea bought a house here at a bargain price earlier in the year.  Arrived for lunch, chats with Andrea, Noah and Nyla, tour of the house and a visit to the beach.

Andrea took us to the town beach.

Trump’s Insurrection

As we were getting ready to leave Sagaponack Noah turned on the TV to pictures of an all white, virtually all male  throng attacking the capitol building. As we drove home we listened to descriptions of men rampaging through the building. Earlier Trump had been out at a rally of his supporters on the Mall urging them on.

I rarely post on Facebook.Seemed appropriate:

Why only 69 people arrested during Trump’s Insurrection? Without the need for a detailed head count there were clearly at least several thousand people involved in this insurrection. Why arrest only 69 of them? Maybe white young and middle age men are not subject to the same rules as others? Where are law and order Republicans?

When are we going to arrest people on social media platforms who were fomenting insurrection and giving directions to the insurrectionists?

When will action be taken against Trump and his Republican supporters in Congress and the Senate. These bodies have the power to discipline their members. How can it be that supporters of anti-democratic insurrectionist politics be members?? Invoke the 25th Amendment now and get Trump out of office. As a fall back the Congress should immediately start impeachment proceedings against Trump.
