A week ago, Karen, always finding ways to improve my life, sent me a link to a New York Times article “Don’t Just Sit There” criticising our sedentary lifestyles. Turns out that our ritual of 2 3/4 mile walks are insufficient. All of the time spent shifting from one gluteus maximus to the other in front of the computer and on the phone has such negative effects that I might as well forgo the walks and have another donut. Woke up to snow flurries. Noticed the clear outlines of the heating coil in the sidewalk of the house across the street. Where is some plain common sense about energy and $? Even rich people should have some sense of embarrassment over such behavior.

Noah and I discussed iPod Touches, iPhones and various other technology items. He showed me a shoot ’em up game on his iPod Touch.
Then home to cook for tomorrow’s lunch. Karen made a storm in the kitchen making carrot mushroom loaf.

Made leg riser blocks for the card table to bring it flush with the dining room table.
