2/23/2020 – Sunday – art project, tennis, Morgan-Orton sale, drinks

Breakfast at Bob’s then shopping. More work on sorting pictures for the table mat project. Initial designs.

Temperature over 50 led to tennis at CGCC. Turned out to be a bad outing. Couldn’t get moving at all, very dead legs. Ted felt the same. Nevertheless played for almost two hours.

Beginning of the End of the NJ Era for the Morgan-Ortons

88 Briarwoood Drive East is on the market….

Drinks at Swoon.

2/21/2020 – Corey Smith, work, dinner out

Friday

Corey Smith came by to give me a tune up on my workout scheme. Added a bunch of exercise involving a 65cm ball. Very good.

Spoke with Matt Almeida who admitted to being exhausted by his three month old son.

Spent much time sorting through pictures of tables after a meal and other food oriented images. Thinking about creating table place mats with them.

Dinner at Ian and Cynthia Stephens house on Green St. Dave Drake too. Very nice craftsman style interior. Lots of possessions, very expensive wines and port at the end of the meal. Introductory stories about earlier life.

2/15/2020 – HAL Board of Trustees, ElFel visit

Saturday

Executive Committee meeting at 9am. Very good discussion of VP position that needs to be filled and other committee matters. Good suggestion from Miranda Barry about how to proceed on deploying the Long-Range Strategy. Theresa Parson, Anna Nilsson, Miranda Barry and Emily Chameides attended.

Board meeting was buoyant. Spoke with Kimberly about Program Committee. Need to chat further about where the committee is going. Also set date to meet with Anna-Marie Assevero.

Lunch at Cascades with Ellen Feldman and Karen. It was jammed. This is a holiday weekend. All sorts of visitors, no one I knew. As always, good food. Afternoon spent working on sorting photos for post-dinner food on tables. Possible project. Ellen thought up place matts.

2/14/2020 – Friday – old portrait, UTMH, tennis

Karen got up early to go to NYC. Train cancelled due to derailment at Penn Station. Decided to cancel trip. She returned to working on the pile of old boxed materials from the barn.

Found prep school photo of me in box of Orton family photos recently brought in from the barn.

Confab with David Ackerman about marketing materials and contracts. Leon Greene has been signed up to start work, hopefully as CEO soon.

Ted picked me up for tennis at Old Chatham Tennis. 5-7pm. Break through night. Served very well because I consistently threw the ball high enough to slow down the back swing. 2 sets 6-3, 6-2.
