Went to library. Started working on letter to Noah about his college essay. Picked up Will in the World, the Shakespeare biography. Continued to stew about the election. Maybe it is time to write an angry old white guy piece.
UTM meeting with Ole and Seth for two hours plus in the afternoon.
Karen and I attended CGCC students on the Gotsch Papers presentation at the library. Very poor presentation skills. Might be interesting work about social mobility. Data focused on Irish immigrants in mid-19th century Hudson.
Trip to the corner for NYTimes.
Corner 1st and Warren – Forman House
After breakfast, a walk up Allen – Union, then back down Warren. ~ 2.5 miles.
Walked on the even (North) side of Union St. Had not noticed how large this yellow brick house is. And a bit further up the street, a house that we looked at when we shopping for one in 2009, has a pitch of more than a foot bottom to top. Always though that it was just the porch that is sagging.
Stopped at Damiani Gallery. Sue Chiafullo was there. She is trying to sell her house in Kinderhook and move to Charleston, SC. House is not moving.
No one came to the gallery at all. K. Closed up early at 5pm.
I spent afternoon of and on making beef stew. Ran out of Mr. Robot series. Started third season of The Fall with Gillian Anderson.
Spent much of the day catching up on my web diary. Walked up Warren at lunch time with Karen to go to CVS.

I stopped for lunch at Cascades. Read the Wall St. Journal.
Tennis doubles in Saugerties. Played w Vern – best player I have ever been the court with.
Helped Karen pack up car. She is off to Griffin Museum. Then to hospital for blood tests by 8am. Spent morning at library working on Husdon Creative. Afternoon in office also working on H-C. Walked down to Promenade for sunset K. Returned at 7 
Wilcox Public Library, Wilcox AZ
For centuries private and institutional libraries have been about the storage and retrieval of information on paper. They were hushed spaces where stern librarians guarded the paper and maintained the decorum. Even public libraries bent towards this model. But, today, public libraries throughout the US, in fact around the world, have transformed themselves in the span of fifteen to twenty years. They embraced the internet, have become a key access point, and expanded into a place for engagement, learning, and creation. This transformation occurred based on the values held by libraries and their users, direct input from users, and the library staff’s guidance and experimentation.
