Reading

Picked up book on slavery, cotton and capitalism at the library. Must write an essay about the four or five books that have transformed my view of race in American history in the last few years.

Library Campaign Committee Meeting

Meeting breaks up.

Theresa Parsons, Marie Rasner, Ana Rachminov (new Board member), Betsy Miller, Emily Chameides and DeWayne Powell at 114. Ana is clearly very anxious to get involved. Even asked me about the Finance Committee at the end of the meeting.

Bus Station Albany – Pick Up Esther

Esther Hanig is here for a 24 hr visit. Esther and Karen went to see new Cinderella movie.

I went to fundraiser event at Stair Gallery for the Hudson Children’s Book Festival. Talked with Theresa about her lunch with Eric Galloway and Henry van Ameringen. She got him to agree to regular reports on progress at Armory with pictures that we can use to inform people of whats going on.

Cooked brisket. Ate and drank lots.
