Saturday – 12/5/2015 – Winter Walk and Christmas gift from old…
Meredith gave us Christmas decoration many years ago. Rediscovered in barn while searching for decorations. New battery brought this one to life.
Went to Dan Region art show here. No one there…. open door…looked around….left.
Winter Walk 2015
Vico forgot about making their eggnog. But, it turned out to be a fortuitous error. Bruce from BCB Art gave us two gallons of cider. Didn’t open them. Not more than 25 people made it down to our end of the street. Closed at 7:45pm. Watched first episode of Season 4 of Homeland.
Friday – 12/4/15 – Israeli movie Censored Voices
Bad night’s sleep. Got up late. Only got to office at 9:15am.

A film by Mor Loushy. Led by Amos Oz, the film combines original recordings of soldiers recalling their fears and doubts following Israel’s 1967 Six-Day War with archival newsreel footage as a stark reminder of how far the region remains from the peace for which they long. In June of 1967 the armies of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria massed on Israel’s borders and threatened its destruction. Israel launched a pre-emptive strike and achieved a stunning and decisive victory nearly tripling its size with the occupation of the West Bank (including East Jerusalem), the Sinai Peninsula, and the Golan Heights. The nation brimmed with relief, joy, and pride, while a new national narrative of manifest destiny emerged. But drowned out by the euphoria, other voices – many of those who fought the war – had something different to say. With subtitles. 2015. 1h27m.
Reminds us of a movie we saw in Los Angeles three or four years ago about Israel’s occupation of Arab lands and the military force’s policies and practices.
Thursday – 12/3/15 – physical therapy – shoulder – HAL – UTM
Went for first physical therapy appointment for shoulder at CMH rehab on Fish & Game Rd. A revelation. The physical therapist Anna Marie Zietsman manipulated my shoulder to very positive immediate effect. Leaning, pushing, straps…… Left shoulder is pinched in slightly, probably compensating for the lack of mobility. Will have further sessions. Also showed me how my standing posture could be better.
Lunch at Mexican Radio with HAL Exec. Comm.
UTM meeting with Paul Czajka, District Attorney, and Ed Moore, Hudson Chief of Police. Very good meeting. Moore especially can see uses for the technology. Focused on communications between dispatcher and cars.
Went to Dine Rite Dinner out by CCGC. Just opened. Very good food. $30 for the two of us. Mix of Middle Eastern and Caribbean cuisines. Open for breakfast.
Wednesday – 12/2/2015 – new office completed, UTM, art opening CGCC
Up early. In office by 8:15 am. Still searching out solutions for problems with Macbook connecting with wifi. Other devices work well, but laptop has trouble connecting and varying speeds. From web search it is clear that my model, late 2013 13″ MBPR is a troubled model with regard to wifi.
Overly long telecon with UTM. Angie Keefer continues to be disciplined and quite good. Ole a bulldog. Seth defensive.
Did other nits. Set up physical therapy appointment for tomorrow at 7:30am.
Final paint on desktop in office. All work now done.
2pm UTM mtg at One City Centre with Seth and Ole to go over presentation to MHM law firm. Ole still doesn’t have details of how things work in his mind. Spole with Brandon Lachterman, send him invoice for work to date.

Tuesday – 12/1/2105
UTM work in office. Finished molding in office. Partially painted desktop. Cleaned garage so that we can park car. Went to CMH to get script for physical therapy.Helped Seth and Ole with recording iPhone on Mac.
5:15 pm another tour of the Armory. Children’s Foundation and Rheinstrom. Bookcases are being installed. Noticed garish lighting from third floor of tower in Perfect Ten space. David Murphy, Betsy Miller, Emily Chameides.
Perfect Ten at HOH
6:15 pm stopped at Hudson Opera House to see display of Perfect Ten portraits and poems. Very well thought out project. Images by photographer Valerie Shaff are very good.
Broadband Meeting at County
Presentation of consultants’ work on broadband strategy for county. Karen went too. Good discussion. Lasted until 8:30pm.
Monday – 11/30/2015
Off to Walmart w Karen to buy Xmas decorations for gallery. Saw these air hockey games…. memory of same game in 1975-76 at Christmas at house at 254 Western Ave. Torrey & Jane arrived in a wild snow storm with a fire raging across Hoyt Field on River St. Jane beat everyone at air hockey. She has no memory of this epic event.

Sunday – 11/29/2015
After breakfast and the NYTimes, walked down to river then up alley to look at David Brown’s new house there. Talked with Joe about the birds living in his backyard and the hawk lurking about. Continued up the alley identifying as many of the buildings with regard to their Warren St. presence. On the way back down Warren ran into Joe again. He spoke of living in his condo at the end of the alley on Front St. Noisy neighbors. Plans to move to Eureka CA.

Not more than 8 people in gallery. Made butternut squash and chickpeas stew. Leftover chicken and brussel sprouts in mustard sauce.
Saturday – 11/28/2015
Late start – breakfast at Bob’s at 9am. Somewhat depressing talk about DOG and DOE. Shopping at Price Chopper.
Gallery had two visitors.
Finished holder for iPad and figured out that Keynote would be the delivery tool.

She came to Hudson to meet old Cornell guy, Nick Adams and his wife Laurie Nussdorfer. no seats anywhere on Warren. Warm enough so we sat in backyard. He is quick tongued architecture historian, she a historian of 17th century Italy. She has a relative from late 19th century Hudson who had a photo studio on Warren.

Drove back from Berkeley Heights in just under two hours – 131 miles door to door. Obviously no real traffic.
Pretty much a lost day….. except for a little work on the iPad holder for the front hall.
