3/22/2019 – UTMH, road trip posting, tennis, Karen, Chinese food

Friday

Good talk with Karen about the UTMH situation. She said to back off on the idea that my management style doesn’t fit. Focus on chaos of the situation. Then, Seth called to say that he has arranged to meet with David.

Meeting w David and Seth went well. David took responsibility for Wexelman and other parts. When I asked about the budget for marketing events he nodded without answering my real question about how much money we have. Concluded on strategy for Gayle and Ole. We’ll make this a biweekly event.

Feel less oppressed and depressed with more clarity amongst the three of us about the situation and my obligations and theirs.

Spent most of day working on reconstituting travel photos from as far back as 2008.

Went through a February 2011 trip south and west to New Mexico and back. Reminded me of how much I enjoy the driving around trips. This one started in Cambridge for the Super Bowl, then Washington DC, down along the Smoky Mountains, Chattanooga, Montgomery AL (19 degrees in the morning, New Orleans, St. Charles LA, Galveston, TX, Houston, Austin, LBJ homestead, Fredericksburg, Seminole Canyon St. Park, camping a few times, Carlsbad Canyon, Roswell NM, Santa Fe, Las Vegas, NM, Canyon TX, Oklahoma City, Memphis, then long drive back to Ed’s house. Approx. 21 days.

RVW Bridge from Catskill Waterfront Park

Should do more of these.

Scanned through 1/3 of Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. This for the Non-Fiction Book group next Monday.  Too much detail, too long, not very interesting.

Tennis at night.
