Karen ent off to NYC to return two sets of artwork. Left around 9am. I went up to the library along the alleys.
Meeting of the Basement Committee. Miranda, Emily, Ken Kraus. Nothing surprising at the program level. Ken and I walked around in the basement after the meeting.
Came back to house. Worked on setting up a new website: OLDFandF.com.
Hope to replace Facebook for family and friends with a website that is private but usable.
Snow started at 9pm
Temp at physical therapy 7:30am.
Worked on UTM things then up to CMH for mtg w RPM team. Ron Pope appeared late then only for 15 minutes. Lasted til noon.
HAL meeting of Space Committee. EC, MB, Gary Sheffer, Ken
Wexelman put off telecon about Lipner proposal.
Virtually all day on UTM – write up first proposal for Wexelman. Talked with Sam about email campaign.
HAL Program Committee mtg. Evaluation Brenda and Kimberly with Pamela Badilla. She was late as usual.
Met with Seth. Funny conversation about connection between Fyre and Trump.Included Andy king who owned buildings on Front St and for whom i had created a business model five or six years ago. He rooked Brandon, too. Reviewed Lipner proposal. Seth had a couple of good ideas.
Ole at Verdigris. More good ideas. Rushed home to make revisions and get it off to Wexelman.
Tennis. Only lost my serve once.

Cleaned up office. Paid bills. Added citations from Sachs book Building the New American Economy: Smart, Fair, and Sustainable. Getting ready to write a review.
15 degrees when we got up. Winter is back for sure. Bob’s Diner for breakfast followed by quick shopping at Price Chopper. Home for coffee then a walk up to the indoor Farmers’ Market for Berkshire bread. 18 degrees. Cold fingers and face on walk back going into a stiff wind.
Karen noted this house on S. 6th St. again. Odd arrangement; maybe complex elevations inside.
Read much of a new NYReview of Books.
Went to library at 4 to see how the Living Library program was going. Karen talked with Jeff Rigby about repairing a book; I made paper birds with Pamela Badilla.
Off to TSL to see BEHEMOTH (BEI XI MO SHOU) a 2015 movie. Very compelling scenes from strip mining for coal in Inner Mongolia. Workers and goat herders lives in a tumult. Moved on to iron production. Workers with lung diseases. Ended with scenes in a ghost city of apartment towers somewhere west of Beijing. A tour de force about unrelenting uncontrolled exploitation of the earth and people by Chinese state capitalism.
Weighed 230. Noticed my notecard dating back to 2009 showed me at 260. Odd loss of weight. Though, I have noticed that I have been indulging in less face stuffing moments. Maybe peanut butter is the key. 
Went to library about noon. Mtg w Emily Chameides, Carol Pledger, & Brenda Shufelt about volunteer processes. Stopped on way home to talk with Tessy Keller about her dealing with volunteers. She asked for help with ticketing system.
Drove to Albany for dinner and movie with Anita Harris. Snow squalls along the way. Dinner at Van’s followed by Iranian movie The Salesman. A bit slow, melodramatic but also not aHollywood movie. 
Bruno tooth cleaning. Work on various currentmatters posts on capitalism.
Leftovers. Chicken, dal, spinach, carrots & celery
Visit to Dr. Esposito for final clearance on cataract surgery. Two more weeks of drops.
Played tennis in Saugerties for the first time since first week of January. Eye sight is very much improved. Played really quite well after such a long layoff. Shoulder bothered a bit so hit slice serves. Net play was demonstrably better. George Traver who joined us last Fall noted that he used to wonder how my good form resulted in so many shanked or simply missed balls. Cataracts.
Karen still quite sick with a cold. NYTimes with breakfast. Wrote a response to Joe Keenan then posted on currentmatters.markorton.com . “How Much Money Would It Take to Eliminate Poverty in the US.” – Spent much of the morning working on the search function for the volunteer site for the library. Then wrote instructions.
Walked up to Subway for sandwich and salad for our lunch. Stopped along the way to talk with Joan Damiani. Her art production is very high. She said that she sold two paintings in January. “Never happened before, probably won’t happen again. But, energizing.”
Also ranted about Trump.
