More work on office in barn, then pick up food at Letterbox Farm.
HAL information table at Farmers’ Market 11 to 1pm. Talked with quite a few people. More are aware and even enthused about the new library.

Got up at 7am.
Worked on hanging new DOG show until 9. Spoke with Gwen Gould about business planning on phone.
Went to library for 10am ceremony.

Hung up rest of DOG show. Looked for tax materials – worked on taxes – spreadsheets of transactions. Office project from 3:30 to 7pm.
Picked up roast chicken and rib dinners at Shiloh Baptist Church. reminiscent of CCC.
Breakfast at Bob’s followed by shopping.
Good turn out and sold two more pieces. Avoided dinner out afterwards.

Went to Swoon for Scotch after the gallery closed. We think we will reinstitute this tradition.
David Drake showed up. First time he had been in since he left a year ago. People still bring up Enid. Seems inappropriate at this point.
Lisa Kenneally still works there. No sign of Mark. But Lisa’s parents came in for a birthday dinner. Her father was a scuba diver doing underwater construction. Lisa thinks that he and I look a lot alike. Nice guy.

Snow almost gone.
Lots of UTM work. Meetings with Jan and Seth and Eliel. Talked about the long overdue website. Seems that Seth and Eliel are flailing around and each other.
Cleaned up HAL Armory site and worked on new calendar plugin for HAL website.
Hung up the first DOG show. Went to Kay Kenny’s house in Saugerties to pick up her pictures. Had to break in thru screen door.
Spent most of day cleaning the house. Vacuumed and washed second floor. Moved furniture out of downstairs in preparation for opening DOG.
Moved wing chair to breakfast nook for a comfortable place to read while DOG is in operation. Karen liked this as much for not having to hump that chair up the stairs and into our bedroom. Need to find a little table to set next to chair for coffee rest.

6:40 am Snow shower over night. 19 degrees this morning.
UTM work in the morning. Lengthy call with Jan. Planning for next six months or so. He told me that he is negotiating a contract with David to work full time and be CEO. Told him that I am supportive though dubious of getting David and Seth to march in a straight line or follow any line. Also told him that I want to take over the CMH and other customer operations so he can focus on investors. We developed a good beginning of an outline. Promised to get him a draft done today si that we can talk further about it tomorrow. Continue reading

| Wardrobe malfunction |

This was a busy weekend for us here in Hudson. We hung a new show, “Theaters and Theatrical” this past week in the gallery and held the opening reception Saturday evening. Following that we were off to Club Helsinki for Musty Chiffon and the Sex Magnets, headlined by local B & B owner Dini Lamot. By one of those little coincidences, Stefanie Klavens, one of the photographers in the new show, used to hang out with Dini et al back in the ’80s when they were a well-known rock band, Human Sexual Response. |

| Sunday evening, after our usual stop for Scotch at our favorite watering hole, Swoon Kitchenbar, we went to the Hudson Opera House for a production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream by the http: hudson teen theatre project. This turned out to be a wonderful, spirited production. A third sold out evening for this troop. |
