5/20/2019 – pack, drive to Berkeley Heights, fly to Amsterdam

Monday

Spoke with Pauline Decarmo about the UTMH printing job. Emailed various other UTMHers. Packed for trip. Left for Berkeley Heights at about 11 am. Stopped briefly on the way out of town  at 125 Warren St to look at a demonstration design project by SJ Williams. This for the Design Hudson affair scheduled for the upcoming weekend.

 

arrived before 2. Talked with Ed. Chased the dog Marley who got loose and disappeared.

Long line at Newark Airport Toni get through security, almost 45 minutes. Noisy visually distressing time in the airport waiting area. Very crowded. Flight left at ~ 5;45 pm. 

Didn’t sleep at all. Arrived Schipohl about 7 am Tuesday 5/21/2019. Another long wait to get through passport control

Wednesday – 3/18/15

Snow shower over night. 19 dgrees this morning.

UTM work in the morning. Lengthy call with Jan. Planning for next six months or so. He told me that he is negotiating a contract with David to work full time and be CEO. Told him that I am supportive though dubious of getting David and Seth to march in a straight line or follow any line. Also told him that I want to take over the CMH and other customer operations so he can focus on investors. We developed a good beginning of an outline. Promised to get him a draft done today si that we can talk further about it tomorrow. Continue reading →

Friday – 3/13/15

Met with Hudson Business Coalition people about marketing ideas for Hudson. Provided strategic orientation to the meeting. Sherry Jo Williams, Russ Gibson. Dave Colby from the Chamber and Branda ?? from HBC popped in. Good meeting. Done in 50 minutes.

Talked with Matt Almeida and Anita Harris in the afternoon.

Joe Keenan about the library marketing project. He will work on crowd funder and I will work on overall story. Continue reading →

Walked to UTM at 10 am. Slow meeting with Jan, Seth and David.

Stopped at Moto for coffee at 2:30 pm. Worked on corporate organization trends essay.

Bob and Marie Rasner came in. Bob likes to talk. Told stories of his corporate life.

UTM call with Troy Web about new Apple app provisioning process. Procedures still unclear.

Karen has gone off with David Drake, SJ Williams to movies in Albany.

 

 

 Wednesday – 2/11/15

1 North Front St. Hudson - home of Chamber of Commerce and HDC

Hudson Business Coalition meeting at Hudson Dev Corp at Firehouse. Two hours long because there were new people, including conspicuously Russ Gibson, co-owner of Croft House and Barlow Hotel.  He reported on B&B matters. Interesting support for Lodging Tax proposal with some useful caveats, including spending some of the receipts on marketing Hudson.

Hudson-Walking-Guide-2015Also spent time on Hudson Walking Guide – its future. Set up a strategy committee to come up with overall marketing direction. SJ Williams volunteered to organize this.

Got a chance to talk with Chad Weckler about the Etsy /CEDC support for a makerspace. We will collaborate further. He has a proposal ready to go to Galvan focused on the Van Kleeck Tire building.

Went to gym.
