6/27/2019 – work, tennis lesson

Thursday

UTMH work, then more work consolidating old stuff into this website.

Tennis lesson. Worked on top spin. Saif set up a chair at mid court. I had to hit the ball over the chair and still have it land in the court. Also more work on getting toss of ball on serve really high.

Karen went off to her Woodstock critique group.

6/26/2019 – work, web projects, dinner at David Drake

Wednesday

Mostly more web consolidation. Discovered a new treasure trove of old files in DropBox.

Met with Seth about UTMH matters. Discussed Ole and his lack of production for the umpteenth time. He asked, “Should I talk with David about this?” Went to NY Rural Water Association to kick off new software project. I will be doing the workflow analysis.

Went to dinner at David Drake’s house in Catskill. Nice view out his back window.

6/24/2019 – web projects, work, tennnis, book group

Monday

PT with Corey Smith at 7:30am. Asked him about a private consult to set up a home exercise protocol using the mat, rubber bands, and weights I already have.

Spent many hours working on integrating old websites into this one. Adding many new Projects as well as posts. Lots of material to work on. Played tennis with Ted at 1pm. Felt infinitely better than yesterday’s outing. Won a set 6-1. Pretty bouncy all and all.

Non-fiction book group. Just six people. I hadn’t read the book, No Ashes…. Pretty good discussion nevertheless.

6/23/2019 – walk, gallery, tennis, drinks

Sunday

Went for walk up Warren after breakfast. Great weather.

Walked down to train station to see Noah off. Train was l;after than he told us. He was outside the house when we walked back. Brief chat with Noah, John and Stephanie.

Gallery duty.

Played tennis with Ted at 3pm. Felt very sluggish and generally lousy. Drinks with Dave at Swoon.

6/22/2019 – drive to Boston, Paul and Ruth Richards, Jane Kogan 80th, DOG opening

Saturday

Left for Boston at 7am. Arrived Needham by 9:45. Visited with Paul and Ruth. He looks older, tired. He is recovering from pneumonia. She from diverticulitis surgery. Good visit.

Drove over to Griffin Museum. Pick up a bucket of books to return from last fall’s book show.

Arrived at Chinese restaurant in Brookline early for 1pm gathering to honor Jane Kogan’s 80th birthday. Kind of an odd event. Food not so good. Miriam’s two daughters and families were there. Spoke with Stuart Pitchel. He recalled my consulting at SRP Signs.  Sat next to some grumpy cousins from Jane’s family. Left at 2:15 before the speeches in order to get back to Hudson for the 6pm gallery opening event.

Everything ready/

Very crowded opening. 7 local artists brought their posses out. Glad when it was over at 8pm.

More The Closer.

6/20/2019 – HAL, work, tennis lesson, Karen’s book group

Thursday

PT with Corey Smith at 7:30 am. Very productive.

Scrubbed through more old files from earlier websites. Lots of stuff to consolidate here.

Tennis lesson with Saif. Focus on less power and more consistent stroke paths. Toss ball really high for serve. Stretch up to reach the ball. Wrist is bothering me. Moved mouse pad to opposite side of keyboard. Will see if this helps.

Karen started cooking by mid morning. Her book group is meeting here. I cleaned the two rooms – vacuum, wash floors, etc. rearrange furniture.

I left for Bob’s for dinner at about 6pm. Came back around 7:30pm. Book group didn’t leave until 9:30 or later;
