Great meeting of HAL Marketing Committee at 4pm. Agi Clark presented her ideas and we had a lively discussion and brainstorming session. Left feeling very buoyant about this work. It is clear that we need to organize the messaging around the various classes of users, children, parents, teens, etc.

04052015-3 - 1Gallery open.

Went to Swoon for Scotch after the gallery closed. We think we will reinstitute this tradition.

David Drake showed up. First time he had been in since he left a year ago. People still bring up Enid. Seems inappropriate at this point.

Lisa Kenneally still works there. No sign of Mark. But Lisa’s parents came in for a birthday dinner. Her father was a scuba diver doing underwater construction. Lisa thinks that he and I look a lot alike. Nice guy.

Shift in slave populations from The Story Half Told

Worked on essay on slavery.

Prix Fixe dinner at Panzur in Tivoli. Fancy fired chicken followed up with ice cream sundae. sat at bar to talk with Dave Drake. Very busy.  The drinks are so complicated that Dave needs to keep recipes to concoct them. Food was very inventive and good.

Saw Vicki and Dennis Kosovac. She barely acknowledged me. He was his usual glad handing self.
